It's been a labor of love these last few months, tinkered with at odd hours and causing more than just a little familial stress. But at last I can say these words: "The Syndicate is here!"
Over the next few weeks, as we get our site up to full speed, we'll look forward to bringing you a true mix of content: longform features, interviews, training articles, and perhaps some content that straddles the line between those three. Essays, op-ed pieces, analytics and race previews all lurk on the horizon.
In the meantime, our first two Syndicate Longform features look at two runners with very divergent paths. Bill Matthews was a prep star whose college and professional aspirations were shattered by a series of seizures and brain tumors. On the other end of the spectrum, Stephanie Garcia has gone from an unheralded college walk-on to the second best American steepler (that feature is set to be released on March 24th).
Over in our training section, top coach Peyton Hoyal writes on how changing the way you recover between intervals could help you hit a higher level of fitness. His four-part series will be published over the course of the next two weeks.
We look forward to your continued readership in the weeks and months to come.
